We have developed a seven-step evaluation process designed to ensure an accurate diagnosis, so that you can finally access the right support, effective treatment, and personalized strategies to succeed.

Get a Diagnosis from an Expert

Brief online ADHD tests offer a basic symptom overview, but only a professional provides a thorough evaluation. We use in-depth interviews, behavioral observations, and age-appropriate tools to assess unique challenges and distinguish ADHD from conditions like learning disabilities, depression, anxiety, or other possible conditions.

Evaluation Process

3 C’s: Cutting-edge, Comprehensive and Compassionate

Experts at CHADD, and other renowned research organizations, emphasize that no single test can diagnose ADHD. With this in mind, we have created an evaluation process guided by the 3 C’s: Cutting-edge, Comprehensive and Compassionate, which continues beyond the diagnosis, supporting you in your next steps. Although our primary focus is ADHD, the evaluation also considers other conditions that may co-exist with ADHD, or, in some cases, better explain the individual’s symptoms’. Information about developmental, medical, and family history, including any history of trauma, helps us conduct the most effective and thorough evaluation possible. Together we review the results and the range of treatment options, creating a plan designed specifically for you, with meaningful change as the goal.

Understanding ADHD

ADHD is frequently thought of in terms of certain behaviors, like impulsivity, difficulty focusing, and hyperactivity, but it is much more than that. ADHD is a result of a variation in brain function and cognitive processes, and it is referred to as neurodivergent.

Next Step Guidance & Resources

Getting your diagnosis is the first step toward understanding the challenges you’ve faced, and it opens the door to a range of treatments, tools, and support. You now have a name to an issue you’ve been experiencing; this is a relief, as well as comforting and empowering. Many times, we see the problems we have as a reflection of who we are, for example, when you don’t do well in school you might think “I’m just not smart”.

Meet Beth

I’d like to tell you a little bit about me by sharing my story.

I always knew I wanted to help people, I just didn’t know exactly how or what that would look like. But I always knew why. I grew up surrounded by family members who struggled deeply with what I now understand to be undiagnosed and untreated ADHD, anxiety, depression and autism. Life was often confusing and difficult, and the lack of answers only made things harder.

That early experience shaped everything. It taught me how much difference it can make when someone finally feels seen, understood, and supported.

For 30+ years I have had a successful private practice as a licensed marriage and family therapist. I have been diagnosing and treating children, teens and adults/couples with these same conditions, helping them navigate the challenges they face. Many of my clients had spent years struggling, unaware that those challenges in relationships, in their career, and as parents, stemmed from undiagnosed, untreated or ineffective ADHD treatment.

It became evident that a more effective evaluation process was essential, and that education and awareness were needed. Too many people were suffering needlessly, even those who had been diagnosed were often misdiagnosed or left without support for treatment.
