Diagnosing Children
ADHD is a complex condition typically diagnosed in childhood; it is a neurodevelopmental condition, and it often runs in families. Diagnosis as early as possible is essential because it offers solutions for the following challenges parents and children face. There are three types of ADHD:
1 Hyperactive – impulsivity ADHD traits, which is the most commonly diagnosed
- Trouble paying attention
- Impulsive behavior
- Hyperactivity
2 Inattentive ADHD
- Careless mistakes
- Losing things
- Losing things
2 Inattentive ADHD
- Diagnosed when there are six symptoms of each type.

We offer a 7 step program for children ages 7 to 11.
- 1. Initial consultation – 75 minutes with family
- 2. Second consultation (parents only) – 60 minutes
- 3. Child session – 30 minutes
- 4. Testing and evaluation – 3.5 hours (includes consults with teachers, doctors, and others involved in your child's care)
- 5. Parent feedback session – 75 minutes to review all results
- 6. Letters, Documentation, and referrals provided for pediatrician, teachers, IEP, therapist and insurance, as needed.
- 7. Follow- up consultations as needed
